Ozark Trail Tents on Sale For As Low As $29 97!

These 4 mattresses take up the entire tent, and there’s hardly any space leftover for camping gear. Ozark Trail is a line of tents manufactured for retail sale in Walmart stores. The tents are contracted for manufacture through a variety of companies, the largest of which is North Pole USA. They are made for family and casual camping, and as such as are designed to be easy to set up, even if you have never set up a tent before. The Hazel Creek 20-Person Star Tent With Screen Room was designed to sleep, yes, 20 people.

It comfortably fits two queen airbeds or up to 10 campers in sleeping bags on the floor. Keep your gear organized with the included hanging gear organizer. Also included are tent stakes to secure the tent, and a carry bag for easy portability and storage when not in use.

However, one of the rear hooks (that also seats the fly pole) started pulling out of the seam, so we managed to swap it for a replacement @ a Walmart in North Carolina. The replacement worked fine for the remainder of our tour, including surviving a pretty heavy thunderstorm in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Trailspace’s community of gear reviewers has field-tested and rated the top tents and shelters.

Whether you’re thinking of hitting the road or staying close to home for your next car-camping adventure, you and your loved ones will need a comfortable place to sleep. Rating and Summary The Core Straight Wall Cabin Tent is an incredibly spacious tent. Its 10-person version has an impressive peak height of 90 inches, and I couldn’t even reach the top of the tent! (I’m 5’3″, ,by the way.) Another great thing about the Core Cabin Tent is that there are no obvious flaws….

I received my Ozark tent from my grandparents, which I used 9 years ago when we went camping with them. This piece of crap promises the buyer a lot for a lot of money, but what you get is something of lesser quality than if you bought a tent from the local Dollar store. I actually even packed up one of my Coleman tents while it was still wet, and when I took it out a few months later, there was no mold or anything on it. And also, there was this sort of inconsistent mesh in 2 places around the tent. But the stitching in my Ozark Trail tent is not as great, there were loose threads all over the tent, and fairly big holes where the guylines are connected to the main tent body.

My best advice to deal with this is to try and set the tent up with the awning facing the wind. This will allow for a little more intentional airflow and help keep you dry from both the ozark trail canopy rain and accumulated internal moisture. Pyramid-style tents, which have considerable overlap with the teepee, are widely considered some of the most stable in high-wind conditions.

Easy to put up, nice size….but only for fair weather. For a cheap and cheerful tent this served me and my daughter perfectly for 12 nights this August. So I called the company requesting new poles and a month later I have yet to see my new poles. Also using a ground cover under the tent (seems obvious to me) will help prevent water from coming in from the underside of the tent.

Seriously, The Waltons could live in this thing comfortably. Beyond being huge (25 ft. x 21 ft. 6 in. with an 83 in. center height), it has all of the weather protection and storage amenities of the above options. Both ozark trail chair Base Camp tents have two doors and lots of mesh in the main tent body. But unlike the Mineral King 3 and the Tungsten 4, the mesh on each Base Camp tent starts high on the walls—more than 4 feet from the ground.

The benefit of the slanted legs is that these tents are more stable laterally which can increase the stability of the frame and make it less prone to toppling, an important benefit if on a windy beach. Although we always recommend using anchors such as weighted sand bag or stakes with guy lines attached to the top corners. The Ozark Trail canopy very well might be one of the best selling 10×10 tent brands of all time. The easily recognizable logo has been seen by nearly everyone at youth soccer tournaments or beach vacations in recent years. With the added height of an inflatable pillow and sleeping pad my head height was indeed close to the curvature of the tent ceiling but there was still enough room.

Even then it was just a matter of stretching the pole back out more carefully. Maybe I got a fluke that is a bit better made than the rest but I’ll keep using this until it’s completely trashed. A key factor in any tent, particularly in big group tents such as this, is good ventilation. Condensation is unavoidable, but there are certainly degrees of it and tends to be exacerbated with the more people inside. In perfect conditions, dry with a predictable and steady breeze, you can have the door, the windows, and the rear awning of the tent open completely.
