Ozark Trail 2-Person Junior Dome Tent Reviews

The rain-fly is sewn on at two corners, and hooks into two other loops of cloth on opposite sites. Convenient, but it limits the use of the rain-fly for any other purpose (such as a wind tarp, or to collect water drip etc). When something says “waterproof” it does not mean it will not leak. It is made of nylon and nylon does not keep water out. It is simply a way to keep you from direct weather contact.

If your budget is tight, the Pacific Breeze Easy Up is an inexpensive beach canopy that provides the essentials for a quick, hassle-free setup but may not be built to endure many summers of use. If you can spend a bit more and want a more traditional cathedral shape, the Caravan V-Series is a good choice. We are also very impressed with the overall value the Coleman 10×10 Sun Shelter brings to the table. It’s slightly more expensive than the cheapest options on our list.

Families who regularly pitch their tent in rainy locales need a wind-fighting tent with a good-size vestibule for storing wet shoes and gear, as well as a full rain fly for added weather protection. Nevertheless, it still comfortably accommodates four people, and it’s a roomy choice for two. This no-nonsense tent is intuitive to set up, has mesh on the top halves of two walls, includes a partial rain fly that’s easy to put on and stake out, and feels cheery inside and out.

This weight makes it somewhat difficult to load into and unload out of a vehicle, but once on the ground, the tank-grade roller bag allows it to be moved with ease, especially if you have two people. However, fitting it into a compact car may still be a challenge. The price tag may also be too high for some shoppers, but we feel the quality increase is worth it if you can swing it. There is no indication about waterproofness rating, but seams are taped and the tent is built to be waterproof. All the windows and the doors are double-layer, with mesh and with panels for protection.

The Ozark Trail tent I purchased is model HKD 08055R. I have a design change suggestion but I do not see an email address anywhere; therefore I cannot submit it to someone who can do something about it. Actively engages with the outdoor community to continually improve and tailor products to real-world needs.

First, all Ozark Trail tents should be considered “fair-weather” shelters. That doesn’t mean they all leak when it rains or collapse when it’s windy, ozark trail chair but they simply aren’t built for bad weather. Light wind and rain should be fine, but you’ll want to take some steps to prepare for both (more on that below).

What makes this particular tent so cool is that it has four separate “rooms” or compartments. Each one can fit a queen-sized air mattress and has a zippered divider curtain that gives it that room feel. The center room can also hold two queen-sized air mattresses. The separate pods have their own doors for easy access, and there’s another for the screen room.

I can’t reach this either, but you should be fine if you’re a little taller. The door has 2 zippers for the bug net, and 2 for the door itself. The door can be zipped up from both the inside and outside. The zipper quality is not the best, it’s a little bit noisy, and it always, always snags from the outside because of this green rain cover. The single door measures about 54 by 39 inches in dimensions, although it’s about 62 inches from the floor to the top of the door. This is almost a full-sized door, but I do need to duck a little when entering.

Units include camp huts, camp cabins and glamping tents. Camp Long Creek is specifically designed for the whole family, featuring pet-friendly accommodations and a full-service marina. It’s just minutes away from all the Big Cedar Lodge activities and attractions you’ll love.
