I would recommend this bike if you are on a budget and need basic transportation for getting around because it does the job and serves its purpose. As far as cheap mountain bikes go, overall the Havoc Hyper FS mountain bike isn’t really all that bad. Hyper Bicycles also established an ongoing commitment to supporting riders and the sport through sponsorships of individuals and teams. One of the first Riders to benefit from Hyper sponsorship was Eric Carter, who helped position Hyper Bicycles as a leader in BMX racing by capturing a National Championship as well as being an excellent spokesperson and promoter of the brand.
Lithium-ion batteries can experience performance issues once they get to a state of having no charge, so a quick charge every so often will keep your battery healthy long term. The Hyper MTB Ebike came in a pretty large box, but that is to be expected when ordering any type of bicycle online. The box itself hyper bicycles weighed over 50lbs, so if you aren’t comfortable moving around that much weight, grab a friend to help you bring your bike inside or where you plan to assemble it.
The 20″ Hyper Bike is ideal for boys who are looking for their next adventure. I was a bit surprised by this because the manufacturer should have sent us the part since the bike was just ordered brand new and we had the order number and receipt.
The lease has a mix of dense woods and clearings with minimal trails throughout the property. Last year we had access to an ATV which was perfect for traversing the property when we were getting ready for hyper bike hunting season and also a great way to transport hunters from our basecamp to their tree stand. Extensions of time were granted in 2022 and 2023 to allow for fact-finding and expert exploration. I stumbled across Hyper while perusing the Walmart website and started to dig in on what they had to offer. This Patent Law case involves a patent infringement lawsuit brought by Fa-Hsing Lu against Hyper Bicycles, Inc. regarding two design patents Lu holds for the ornamental design of a bicycle. In a prior ruling, the court interpreted the patents and provided a summary judgment in favor of Hyper, dismissing Lu’s claims. Out of the box the manufacturer recommends that you charge the Ebike for a minimum of 4 hours before use, which I started before assembling the bike. True to the manual, after the 4 hour charge time was complete, I was ready to roll with full power available to me.
Eric moved on to a stellar career in Mountain Biking while Hyper continued to develop BMX products and began expanding the Hyper Bicycles position in the retail marketplace. As far as capability goes, the mountain bike itself is an easy rider and very comfortable to spend time on riding through the city or on trails. I’m by no means a diehard mountain bike rider, but I did find this bike to be very similar to entry level TREK that I used to have. I have to say that I was far less skeptical of a pedal assist Ebike after breaking this out and taking it for a ride. What I found with the Hyper Ebike, is that pedal assistance in this case does not mean that you are putting in a tremendous amount of effort to use the motor.
The next problem is that the bike seat is hard and uncomfortable, if you only ride short distances it isn’t a problem, but if you do between 2 through 5 miles you will start to feel it. I have tightened it a few times and it now finally stays in place, but it can be dangerous when it randomly slides over while riding. In terms of the 20 mile claim, we were able to easily accomplish this in city streets with minimal inclines.
We are still a ways out from hunting season, so to test this bike out I threw on my 30lb ruck plate and headed over to some of the more steep inclines my city had to offer. I was able to easily make it up each hill with little effort and this is exactly what I was looking for from a budget Ebike. In light of the aforementioned reasoning, the court granted Hyper’s motion to recover reasonable attorney fees incurred subsequent to Lu’s admission of the absence of proof regarding the sale of infringing products. Furthermore, Lu’s own deposition testimony, along with evidence provided by the defendant’s principal, directly contradicts the claims made by the plaintiff. Moreover, the plaintiff failed to undertake even basic fact-finding efforts and did not provide any substantiating evidence regarding the alleged damages. The court examined the totality of circumstances and found the case exceptional based on the frivolity of Lu’s claims and his failure to litigate the case meaningfully.
