Ozark Trail Soft-Sided Cooler Just $8 88 at Walmart Holds 24 Cans!

The weather was in low 90s during the test, the coolers were in full sun for most of the morning, and we opened them several times throughout the day. The ice melted in the Coleman in 39 hours and the Ozark Trail in 73 hours. The water turned warm in both coolers fairly quickly after the ice melted. Several weeks ago we finally purchased an Ozark Trail 52-Quart High-Performance Cooler from Walmart.

We blame the crossbar design, which runs front to back rather than side to side; this creates a lot of wobble from right to left, especially if the chair is not on perfectly even ground. It’s the lightest, most portable chair that is still comfortable. The Helinox Chair One weighs about 2 pounds, compresses smaller than a 2-liter bottle of soda, and is our most lightweight pick. Despite the Renetto chair’s weight and bulk, our testers found it simple to set up and adjust. With its spacious seat width, this chair also offers more room than any other model we tested. And its backrest extends ozark trail chair higher up than those of other chairs; this is nice for taller folks or people who like a good slouch with some head support.

On the contrary, the premium soft coolers and particularly their hard-sided coolers have more of the traditional features we look for when we think of long ice life. We enjoy the ozark trail canopy premium soft coolers and hard-sided coolers the most. But all models could make do with a few additional color choices.

We think it’s right up there with Yeti and at just a fraction of the cost. Then I did the same test with cold water from the same coolers. So there you have it, when looking at just the ability to keep ice cold over a period of 6 days the Pelican has just slightly won, but we are talking about decimal points. I have to say that I am very impressed with the performance of the Ozark Trail 45Q cooler. This cooler is not only smaller in its overall size but also a fraction of the price of the competition.

But it does fall a bit short of the top-tier premium coolers in the industry. And while we are on the subject of the premium soft-sided coolers, there are a few additional features specific to them. They include built-in bottle openers, daisy chain attachment points, compression strap, thicker insulation, and a wash-friendly 600D outer ozark trail chair coating. The adjustable shoulder strap is a thoughtful addition, allowing for comfortable transport. However, the highlight that truly shines is the insulation — it keeps my drinks ice-cold for hours on end. The expandable top and the side-mesh pocket add to the convenience and functionality of the product.

The Ozark Trail 12-Can Cooler is a reliable and functional product, but its weak stitching and thin fabric may hinder its longevity. I would recommend shortening the shoulder strap to prevent it from fraying further and possibly adding reinforced side handles to improve overall durability. Other than these minor drawbacks, this cooler is a suitable companion for all your outdoor adventures. Now let’s compare that to most of the newer cooler designs on models like Yeti, RTIC, Orca, Cabela’s or Frosted Frog that have rubber T-shaped handles you have to stretch to secure the lid. I asked three other adults to secure these handles and out of the four of us, two were successful, one unsuccessful and the last successful only after an excessive amount of struggling.
